Busters crush Colby in first KJCCC win

The only two returning sophomores for the Garden City Broncbusters led the team to an 84-48 win over conference foe Colby on Saturday at the Perryman Athletic Complex.

Jade Cathey had a game-high 14 points and added five boards, while Reuben King scored 11 points and hauled in six rebounds to lead the Busters to their first KJCCC victory, increasing their overall record to 15-4 and 1-2 in the conference.

The Trojans, meanwhile, fall to 9-10 and 0-3 in the loss. They were led by Jeremiah Ingram's 10 points on 3-of-10 shooting. Ingram also hauled in a game-high nine boards despite the Busters dominating the glass 36-23 for the game.
