Ingalls girls edge Fowler

At Fowler, in the Black and Gold Tournament, the Ingalls Lady Bulldogs rebounded from their season-opening loss on Tuesday with a 59-43 victory over the Fowler Lady Goldbugs on Thursday night.

The Lady Bulldogs led just 11-9 after one quarter but went on a 17-8 scoring spree in the second period to take a 28-17 halftime lead. A strong third quarter of 20-15 over the Lady 'Bugs gave Ingalls a 48-32 advantage heading to the final quarter.

Senior forward Rebecca Wyatt was the big offensive gun for the Lady Bulldogs, scoring 21 points, 17 of those coming in the second half. Kaisha Batman added 11 for the Lady 'Dogs. For Fowler, Nikki Friesen had a game-high 22 points and Hannah Heinz added 11 for the 2-0 Lady 'Bugs.

Today, the Lady Bulldogs will take on Minneola in the final game of the round-robin tournament.
