Elizabeth K. Friesen, 94, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

Elizabeth K. Friesen, 94, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

She was born July 6, 1919, in Meade to Henry H. and Katherine Friesen.

A resident of Garden City since 1985, she was a first-grade teacher in Ulysses. She was a member of the Garden Valley Church of Garden City.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Gene Lohrenz of Fairview, Okla.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Helen K. Isaac, Katie Welker, Martha Classen, Sarah Lohrenz and Anna K. Friesen; and three brothers, Henry K., Abe K. and John K. Friesen.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. A celebration of life service is 1 p.m. Friday at Garden Valley Retirement Village chapel.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Garden City.

Memorials are suggested to Garden Valley Church, in care of the funeral home.
