Mike and Shona Pfeifer of Holcomb announce the engagement of their daughter, Lexie Jenae, to Tyler Hawley. He is the son of Tonya and Orb Thompson of Plains; and Rockie and Janice Hawley of Meade.

Mike and Shona Pfeifer of Holcomb announce the engagement of their daughter, Lexie Jenae, to Tyler Hawley. He is the son of Tonya and Orb Thompson of Plains; and Rockie and Janice Hawley of Meade.

The bride-to-be graduated from Holcomb High School in 2007, attended Kansas State University and graduated from University of Kansas Med Center with a master's degree in occupational therapy in May 2013. She is an occupational therapist at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Her fiance graduated from Southwestern Heights High School in 2007, and attended Fort Hays State University before joining and serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. He works at Home Depot in Wichita and plans to begin the electrical power technology program through Pratt Community College in the fall.

They plan to marry Sept. 14, 2013, at First Southern Baptist Church in Garden City.
