Engagement: Elder-Carter

Vaughn and Tina Elder of Leoti announce the engagement of their daughter, Tirra Elder, to Jordan Carter. He is the son of Daniel and Susan Carter of Scott City.

The bride-to-be graduated from Wichita County High School in 2002 and from Fort Hays State University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in business communications. She is employed by Smart Start of Southwest Kansas and Child Care Connection in Garden City.

Her fiancé graduated from Scott City High School in 2003 and from McPherson College in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in physical education. He is employed by Tri-State Distributing LLC of Leoti.
