Applegarth-Ellis

Brad and Tonya Applegarth of Healy announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelbey Faye, to Tomas Scott Ellis, the son of Mark and Sheila Ellis of Scott City.

After graduating from Healy High School in 2008 together, Tomas and Shelbey decided to go to college on opposite sides of the state. He attended Garden City Community College and she attended Washburn University. Shelbey plans on joining Tomas at GCCC in the fall for their sophomore year.

Tomas' education plans are in the direction of law while he also spends time as a student football coach at GCCC. Shelbey plans on receiving her business degree and pursuing her own business plans of becoming a wedding and event planner.

The couple is planning a summer wedding on July 17, 2009, and then will reside in Garden City for a year.
