Bill and Diane Simshauser of Lakin announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Diane Simshauser, to Wesley Adam Gleason, the son of Terry and Tena Gleason of Spearville.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Norman and Ethel Simshauser of Lakin; and Barbara and the late Keith Fillmore of Garden City. Her fiancÃ© is the grandson of Ronnie and Janice Gleason of Offerle; and the late Ivan and Reba Kolbeck of Spearville.

The bride-to-be graduated from Lakin High School in 2004, attended Garden City Community College and plans to graduate in May from the nursing program at Dodge City Community College as a registered nurse. She is employed at Western Plains Medical Complex.

Her fiancé graduated from Spearville High School in 2004 and from Garden City Community College in 2006 with a John Deere Tech degree. He works at Bucklin Tractor Implement in Bucklin.

They plan to marry Aug. 15, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakin.
