Barry Tietzen of Pierce, Neb., and Cathy and Dennis Montgomery of Norfolk, Neb., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gwen Denise Tietgen, to Benjamin Starkey. He is the son of Jeff and Jo Starkey of Garden City.

Barry Tietzen of Pierce, Neb., and Cathy and Dennis Montgomery of Norfolk, Neb., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gwen Denise Tietgen, to Benjamin Starkey. He is the son of Jeff and Jo Starkey of Garden City.

The bride-to-be graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She is a sales and leasing professional at Burtis Motor Co.

Her fiancé graduated from Mid-Atlantic Christian University in Elizabeth City, N.C., in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in theology and from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va., in 2007 with a master's degree in communication. He is an account executive for KUPK-TV.

The wedding is planned for March 29, 2014, at Bible Christian Church in Garden City.
