Dodge City Bishop Announces Area Clergy Assignments

The Most Rev. John B. Brungardt, Bishop of Dodge City, announced the following appointments, effective today.
* Father Joseph Buising, most recently parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Dodge City, and St. John the Baptist Parish in Spearville, is appointed parochial vicar of St. Dominic Parish in Garden City; and St. Stanislaus Parish, Ingalls.
Joseph was born Jan. 19, 1963, in Magallanes, Sorsogon, Phillippines. He was ordained to the priesthood Aug. 12, 1995, by the Most Rev. Jesus Y. Varela, bishop of Sorsogon. Father Joseph has served in the Diocese of Dodge City since October 2011.
* Father Efiri Matthias Selemobri, MSP, who most recently served at the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle in San Juan, Texas, is appointed parochial vicar of Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Dodge City.
Matthias was born in Nigeria, on March 13, 1966. He was ordained to the priesthood for the Missionary Society of St. Paul on June 22, 1991. In a previous assignment in the Diocese of Dodge City, Father Matthias served as parochial vicar at St. Mary's in Garden City from 2009 to 2010.
