ULYSSES — Dale Alvin Dennett, 73, Ulysses, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at The Legacy at Park View, Ulysses.

He was born May 2, 1940, in Woodward, Okla., to C.W. (Bus) and Mildred M. Canfield Dennett.

Dale served in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He worked in the parts department of Murphy Tractor for 18 1/2 years.

On Jan. 25, 1964, he married Lovella Hagen in Woodward.

He is survived by his wife of Woodward; one daughter; Jodi Seabolt of Ulysses; two sons, Donald Dennett of Liberal and Tim Dennett of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister; Doris Hauth of Woodward; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gary Dennett; three grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Midway Cemetery in Floris, Okla.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses.

The family requests memorials be given to the Dale Dennett Memorial Fund, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant, Ulysses, KS 67880.
