Meade 67, Deerfield 21

At the Cimarron Invitational, the Meade Lady Buffaloes used a 27-4 opening quarter to set the tone for a 67-21 win over Deerfield.

Meade held the Lady Spartans to just four points in each of the first three periods while scoring double digits themselves.

Bailey Olvera and MaKenna Rudzik led Meade with 13 points each. Tarah Wiens added 10.

Ten Buffaloes scored.

Katia Chavira led all scorers with 14 points for Deerfield.

Meade will face Bucklin in Friday's semifinals, while Deerfield will meet Satanta in the consolation round.

Sublette 45, Wichita Co. 31

The Lady Larks advanced to the semifinals of the Cimarron Invitational with a 45-31 win over Wichita County.

Sublette jumped out to a 14-4 first-quarter lead and pulled away with a 13-5 final quarter to get the win.

Payton Whaler led Sublette with 15 points, and Brooke Briggs added 10.

The Lady Indians were led by Kaite Bailey with 11 points and Tailar Bremer with 10.

Sublette will face top-seeded Cimarron in Friday's semifinals, while Wichita County will take on South Gray in the consolation bracket.

South Gray 66, Deerfield 44

South Gray pulled away in the second half to defeat Deerfield in the opening round, 66-44.

The Rebels held a 25-22 halftime lead but used a 22-15 third quarter and 19-7 final period to pull away for the win.

South Gray had three players in double figures, led by Carson Skidmore's 20. Tate Skinner added 15 and Michael Martens had 11.

Deerfield had just one player in double figures, Mike Mata with 11.

South Gray advances to Friday's semifinal round against Meade, while Deerfield will take on Satanta in the consolation round.

Cimarron 61, Wichita Co. 27

Cimarron played inhospitable hosts as they easily raced past Wichita County 61-27 to advance to the semifinals of its own tournament.

With just an 18-11 lead after the opening quarter, the Bluejays outscored the Indians 16-5 and 19-8 in the middle quarters to put the game away.

Cimarron was 15-of-18 from the free throw line, while the Indians were just 1-of-6.

Christian Fischer and Seth Pachner both had 13 points to lead Cimarron.

Jantz Budde led the Indians with 11.

Cimarron will face Sublette in Friday's late semifinal game, while Wichita County falls back to face Bucklin in consolation action.
