BOB, Kids Meals on Wheels to take break

The Summer Books on the Bus and Kids Meals-on-Wheels programs will take a break Monday through July 5. The buses will be back on their normal schedule July 8. The last scheduled visit will be July 25.

The Summer Books on the Bus and Kids Meals-on-Wheels programs will take a break Monday through July 5. The buses will be back on their normal schedule July 8. The last scheduled visit will be July 25.

The Kids Meals on Wheels Bus, which accompanies the Bookmobile during the summer, provides sack lunches to children 18 and younger as part of the Summer Food Service Program. Adults wishing to eat with their child can purchase a lunch for $3.

The Bookmobile visits Lee Richardson Zoo, 312 E. Finnup Drive, 10:15 to 11 a.m. Monday through Wednesday; Ayala Park, 216 N. Taylor, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; the Big Pool in Finnup Park, 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; East Garden Village, 4101 E. Highway 50, 10:15 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays; Towns Riverview South, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesdays; Farmland Road, 10:15 to 11 a.m. Thursdays; and H&H Trailer Park, 4170 E. Highway 50, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursdays.

The schedules are located under the calendar section of www.gckschools.com. The offices and facilities at Garden City Public Schools will be closed Thursday in observance of Independence Day. Regular business hours resume July 5.
