Bonifacio 'Ruben' Carrillo

ELKHART — Bonifacio "Ruben" Carrillo, 63, Elkhart, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center — St. Francis in Wichita.Mr. Carrillo was born May 14, 1948 in Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Leonardo and Antolina Carrillo.
On Oct. 2, 1973, he married Manuela Corona in Johnson City. She survives.
A resident of Elkhart since 1979, Mr. Carrillo was a farmer with Miller Farms.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Leonardo Carrillo of Elkhart, Antonio Carrillo of Eva, Okla., Juan Carrillo of Elkhart, Iban Carrillo of Eva; two daughters, Alma Nevarez of Eva and Alba Carrillo of Elkhart; one brother, Arestio Carrillo of Greybull, Wyo.; and one sister, Rosa Lujan of Ojnaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, and one brother.
Vigil service will be held 7 p.m. Monday and funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Elkhart. Burial will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home, Elkhart.
