High wind conditions in southwest Kansas have forced postponements of a number of high school athletic events for Tuesday.

Garden City High School's home baseball game, scheduled for 4 p.m. at Clint Lightner against Wichita Word of Life, has been postponed and a reschedule date has not yet been set.

GCHS' Lady Buffs soccer, which was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today at Dodge City, was postponed at about 12:15 p.m. today, according to an email from GCHS athletic director Martin Segovia. A makeup date has not been established.

The Satanta Invitational track meet also was called off with a reschedule date of May 12. Satanta's home softball game with Southwestern Heights has been reset for May 9. Lakin's baseball game at Elkhart also was postponed and a makeup date has not been announced. Cimarron's scheduled track competition at Hoisington also was called off.
