Garden City Police Arrests/Citations

Wednesday

Christopher Marinez, 27, 2407 Menke, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. in the 100 block of North Ninth Street on an allegation of driving under the influence.

Tuesday

Luis Talavera, 18, 217 Pennsylania Ave., was arrested at 1:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of Taylor Avenue on an allegation of no valid driver's license.

Monday

Sergio Perez, 19, 510 Burnside Drive, Lot 43, was cited and released at 12:50 a.m. in the 300 block of South Fourth Street on an allegation of consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Mohammed Ahmed, 44, 212 N. First St., No. 8, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East Fulton Street on an allegation of intoxicated pedestrian.

Arafat Aung, 25, 305 W. Mary St., Apt. DD1, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. in the 300 block of West Mary Street on an allegation of battery.

Jonathan Reyes, 15, 1108 Safford St., was arrested at 3:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Mary Street on allegations of possession of marijuana and violation of curfew and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center to be released to a parent.

Jayce Morales, 17, 805 Safford St., was arrested at 3:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Mary Street on allegations of transporting an open container and curfew violation and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center to be released to a parent.

Jason Asebedo, Jr., 14, 705 Conkling Ave., was arrested at at 3:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Mary Street on an allegation of curfew violation and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center to be released to a parent.

Nazario Ibarra, Jr., 15, 1017 N. Fourth St., was arrested at 3:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Mary Street on allegations of transporting an open container and curfew violation and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center to be released to a parent.

Jose Padron-Acosta, 50, Dodge City, was arrested at 10:37 a.m. in the 2600 block of C Street on allegations of driving while suspended and no proof of insurance.

Martha Estrada, 31, Garden City, was cited and released at 3:05 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Main Street on an allegation of no proof of insurance.

Jesus Avila, 28, 711 S. Fourth St., was cited and released at 9:05 p.m. in the 1900 block of East Spruce Street on an allegation of no proof of insurance. Criminal Damage

Aug. 30

Between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 2:35 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 1200 block of Wallace Street, unknown persons painted gang graffiti using spray paint. Estimated damage $200.

Between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 2:35 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 700 block of North Taylor Avenue, unknown persons painted gang graffiti using spray paint. Estimated damage $200.

Thefts/Losses

Tuesday

Between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of North 10th Street, an unknown person entered a residence and stole electronic items. Estimated loss $1,500.

At 7:30 p.m. at Walmart, 3101 E. Kansas Ave., an unknown person took a cell phone. Loss $250.

Sunday

Between 11 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North 10th Street, an unknown person entered into an unlocked vehicle and took a purse. Estimated loss $100.

Between 8:24 and 10:02 a.m. in the 1200 block of Buffalo Jones Avenue, an unknown person took a coin purse. Estimated loss $295.

At 11:55 p.m. at Walmart, a known person took clothing from the store without paying. Loss $12.

Saturday

Between 8 p.m. Aug. 29 and 2 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of East Kansas Avenue, an unknown person stole 10 pounds of loose copper wire. Estimated loss $500.

Aug. 30

Between 5 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 3300 block of Yellowstar, an unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle and took a briefcase containing paperwork. Loss $60.

Aug. 26

Between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. in the 4100 block of East U.S. Highway 50, a known person took an iPod without permission. Loss $150.

Aug. 1

At 7:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of East Kansas Avenue, a known person stole a deposit bag containing approximately $1,297 in cash. Investigation continues.

Miscellaneous

Monday

Between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. in the 2300 block of East Mary Street, a known person punched a person and pulled her hair, causing small scratches on the person's face. Investigation continues.

At 1 p.m. in the 2500 block of A Street, an unknown person falsely identified himself as a police officer to a person and then obtained personal information from her.

Tuesday

Adrian Salvador Ramirez, 21, 1265 Rolling Hills Road, was arrested at 3 p.m. on allegations of driving under the influence, posession of depressant and driving while license cancelled/suspended/revoked.

Monday

Alexander Morales, 30, Holcomb, was arrested at 4:34 a.m. on an allegation of domestic battery.

Monday

James Michael Terhune, 49, Wichita, was arrested at 4:16 p.m. on an allegation of possession of a hallucinogenic drug.
