SATANTA — Lucille Simpson, 97, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Satanta Long Term Care in Satanta.
She was born Aug. 15, 1916, in Ensign, to Isaac "Bert" and Katie Mae Campbell Snyder.
On Sept. 7, 1932, she married Forrest Simpson in Ashland. He died Dec. 4, 2006. She also was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Cleo and Merle Snyder, Mildred Conover, Louise Garetson and Maxine Moody.
A former resident of Ensign and Cimarron, Mrs. Simpson moved to Satanta in 1938.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine D. Andrews of Satanta; a son, Mearle Simpson of Satanta; a brother, Gene Snyder of Golden, Colo.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Satanta United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta.
