DEERFIELD — Robert Lee "Bob" Hughes, 76, of Deerfield, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

DEERFIELD — Robert Lee "Bob" Hughes, 76, of Deerfield, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born Nov. 14, 1935, in Craig, Colo., to Lena E. (Barnhart) and Paul O. Hughes Sr.

Mr. Hughes was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Hughes of Deerfield, whom he married in 1996 in Satanta; three sons, Brett Hughes of Hoisington, Corey Hughes of Fairfield, Texas, and James M. "Jim" Baker of Garden City; a brother, Thomas Hughes of Great Bend; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father; his mother; a brother, Paul Hughes Jr.; and a sister, Sally E. Milligan.

Services will be held at a later date.
