Bartolo M. Rojas
Bartolo M. Rojas, 91, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at the Homestead Health and Rehabilitation Center in Garden City.
He was born Aug. 24, 1921, to Pedro and Susan Martinez Rojas in Ottine, Texas.
On April 11, 1944, he was married to Mary Delgado in Garden City. She survives.
A resident of Garden City since 1941, Mr. Rojas worked for the city of Garden City Electrical Department, and served in World War II.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American G.I. Forum.
Survivors include one son, Gilbert Rojas of Garden City; three daughters, Rosie Beltran, Brenda K. Villa, Oletha Cox, all of Garden City; one brother, Raymond Rojas of Norton; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Pete, Jimmy and Danny Rojas; two daughters, Gloria Perez ands Susie Garcia; and four grandchildren, Dirk Cox, Timothy Cox, Gilbert Rojas Jr. and Jamie Marie Villa.
Vigil and rosary services will be held at 7 tonight at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Price & Sons Funeral Home.
