LEOTI — Earl Frederick Giesick, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti.
He was born April 1, 1929, in Leoti, to Samuel S. and Elizabeth Eva Bohl Giesick. He graduated from Wichita County High School in 1947.
A lifetime resident of Leoti, Mr. Giesick retired from the United States Postal Service after 39 years of service and from Berning Auction after 25 years of service.
On July 10, 1948, he married F. Lorene Ray in Tribune. She survives. Other survivors include two children, Jana Rairden of Richmond, Va., and Tim Giesick of Holcomb; a brother, Mel Giesick of Denver; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karla Kay Ridder; and two brothers, Robert and Karl Giesick.
Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Leoti. Burial will be at Leoti Cemetery.
