HUGOTON — Elsie Mae Bevan, 79, of Hugoton, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

HUGOTON — Elsie Mae Bevan, 79, of Hugoton, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born July 26, 1934, in Pueblo, Colo., to Otis and Velma Tatman Watkins.

A Hugoton resident since 1964, Mrs. Bevan was a homemaker.

On April 15, 1951, she married Robert Bevan. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Bevan of Hugoton; two brothers, Lewis Watkins of Delta, Colo., and Harold Watkins of Los Angeles; a sister, June Youts of Center, Colo.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stacy Wayne Bevan; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Anna Jane.

Graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hugoton Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation.

Garnand Funeral Home of Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
