A Garden City man died Sunday from injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle accident on West Sagebrush Road early Sunday morning.

Armando Robles, 20, 213 Pennsylvania Ave., died Sunday afternoon at St. Catherine Hospital from injuries sustained in a rollover crash Sunday morning.

According to Finney County Sheriff Kevin Bascue, Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the accident in the 1500 block of West Sagebrush Road at approximately 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

Upon arrival, deputies reported that a 2005 Chevy Pickup, which appeared to have rolled, was approximately 90 feet from the roadway. Deputies then found Robles laying approximately 50 feet from the vehicle. EMS arrived and transported Robles to St. Catherine Hospital, where he later died.

According to Bascue, an investigation into the accident determined that Robles was traveling eastbound on Sagebrush Road when he ran off the road into the south ditch, where the vehicle traveled for approximately 300 feet before exiting the ditch back onto the roadway. The vehicle then traveled across the road, struck a road sign and continued down into the north ditch, where it rolled twice, causing Robles to be ejected. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
