Ricky W. Hands, 67, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

Ricky W. Hands, 67, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

He was born Dec. 5, 1946, in Garden City, to Raymond and Mildred Algrim Hands.

A lifetime resident of Garden City, Mr. Hands was a painter. He was a member of the Homestead Cowboys.

Survivors include four sons, Junior and Greg Hands, both of Garden City, Tracy Hands of Larned, and Scott Wallace of Lakin; and three sisters, Karen L. Reece of Manzanola, Colo., Celia D. Stansbury of Chesapeake, Va., and Rhona L. Hands of Portsmouth, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will begin at 11 this morning at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

There will be no public visitation. Condolences may be sent at www.priceandsons.com. Memorials are suggested to Homestead Assisted Living Center, in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St., Garden City, KS 67846.
