HUGOTON — Donald R. Williams, 78, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his home in Hugoton.

HUGOTON — Donald R. Williams, 78, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his home in Hugoton.

He was born March 10, 1936, in Hugoton, to Frank and Viola Kirk Williams.

A lifetime resident, Mr. Williams was a heavy equipment operator for Stevens County Road and Bridge.

On Jan. 8, 1961, he married Wanda J. Cowser in Rolla. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Duane Williams of Hugoton, and Damon Williams of Hooker, Okla.; a daughter, Sandra Williams of Hugoton; a brother, Frank Williams of Turpin, Okla.; a sister, Dorene Mills of Carthage, Texas; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lee, Darrell and Kenneth Williams; and a sister, Darlene Uhl.

Graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
