Books on Bus takes break throughout July 4

Books on the Bus (B.O.B.), Kids Meals-on-Wheels, and the Summer Food Service Programs will take a break from Monday through July 4. The programs will be back on their normal schedule from July 7 to July 24.

Books on the Bus (B.O.B.), Kids Meals-on-Wheels, and the Summer Food Service Programs will take a break from Monday through July 4. The programs will be back on their normal schedule from July 7 to July 24.

B.O.B.'s normal schedule is as follows:

Mondays: Lee Richardson Zoo, 312 E. Finnup Drive, from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Ayala Park, 216 N. Taylor, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; and the Public Swimming Pool, in Finnup Park, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Tuesdays: East Garden Village, 4101 E. Hwy. 50, from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Towns Riverview South, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; and the Public Swimming Pool, in Finnup Park, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Wednesdays: Lee Richardson Zoo, 312 E. Finnup Drive, from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Ayala Park, 216 N. Taylor, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; and the Public Swimming Pool, in Finnup Park, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Thursdays: Farmland Road from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.; H&H Trailer Park, 4170 E. Hwy 50, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; and the Public Swimming Pool, in Finnup Park, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Kids Meals on Wheels Bus, which accompanies the Bookmobile during the summer, provides sack lunches to children 18 and younger as part of the Summer Food Service Program. Adults wishing to eat with their child can purchase a lunch for $3.50.

The Summer Food Service Program will provide lunches from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday through July 24. Lunches will be served at Charles O. Stones Intermediate Center, 401 Jennie Barker Road and Horace Good Middle School, 1412 N. Main St. While meals for youth 18 and under are free, adults may purchase a lunch at a cost of $3.50.
