Culinary classes with Chef Justin start soon at GCCC

Are you looking to improve your culinary skills? Garden City Community College is offering a series of short courses offered by renowned chef, Justin Garcia, to help you do just that. Courses include: How to Prepare the Perfect Protein, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 15 and 17 for $59. Learn about the science of meat so you can make perfectly tender and juicy beef, chicken, pork and fish recipes; Italian Night at Home with Four Courses: From 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 29 and 31 for $59. Delectable Italian recipes for appetizers, pastas, main courses and desserts; and Indian Cuisine: from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 5 and 7 for $59. Learn to create a delicious fusion of tastes and flavors with easy to follow healthy Indian recipes.

Chef Justin Garcia studied at The Culinary Institute of America in New York City and returned to Garden City, where he has a catering service specializing in upscale comfort foods with bold flavors. He serves on the Culinary Board of Advisors for GCCC.

All classes are in room 1007 of the Penka Building of Practical Arts and Sciences. Each will take place only with sufficient enrollment.
