Clifford C. Jay, 95, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City.

Clifford C. Jay, 95, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City.

He was born May 27, 1919, in Ford, to Scott and Bessie Belle Karns Jay.

A resident of Garden City since 1994, Mr. Jay was a farmer and cattleman.

On Dec. 12, 1944, he married Helen L. Redding in Leoti. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Steve and Rick Jay, both of Phoenix, Bruce Jay of Bakersfield, Calif., and Doug Jay of Denver; a daughter, Reneé Geyer of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a sister, Wanda L. Ratzlaff of Minneola; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

There will be no public visitation. Condolences may be given at www.priceandsons.com or pricefh@wbsnet.org. Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church of Leoti, in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St., Garden City, KS 67846.
