Bill Wayne Bridges, 79, of Guymon, Okla., died Friday, June 13, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

Bill Wayne Bridges, 79, of Guymon, Okla., died Friday, June 13, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

He was born Aug. 21, 1934, in Deport, Texas, to Ottis and Eunice Beatrice Westbrook Bridges. He graduated from high school in Guymon in 1954.

Mr. Bridges was retired after working for GTE and PTSI.

On June 5, 1955, he married Barbara Ann French in Guymon. She survives. Other survivors include a sister, Mary Ruth Upchurch of Amarillo, Texas; and two brothers, William Milton Bridges of Garden City, and Ottis Charles Bridges of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Guymon. Burial will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery.
