HUGOTON — Charlia Mae Garmon, 77, of Hugoton, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.

HUGOTON — Charlia Mae Garmon, 77, of Hugoton, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.

She was born April 19, 1937, in Council Hill, Okla., to Charlie and Agnes Howard Gilley.

On Nov. 10, 1957, she married Lewis F. Garmon in Benicia, Calif. He preceded her in death as did her parents; two sons, Kelly Don Garmon and Randy Lee Garmon; and a brother, Johnny Garmon.

A Hugoton resident since 1960, Mrs. Garmon was a cook at the middle school from 1967 to 1970 and at the grade school from 1970 to 1997.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Joyce McBride of Bel Aire, and Carole Garmon of Ulysses; two nieces, Jeannie Berens of Falcon, Colo., and Michelle Coleman of Walla Walla, Wash.; and three nephews, Lance Garmon of Silver Springs, Md., Leslie Garmon of Topeka, and Bradley Garmon of Lansing, Mich.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of the Nazarene, Hugoton. Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton. Memorials are suggested to Church of the Nazarene, in care of the funeral home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
