HUGOTON — Howard Lee Feldman, 67, of Hugoton, died Monday, May 19, 2014.

He was born June 1, 1946, in Meade, to Cord and Voyza Gardner Feldman. He graduated from Hugoton High School in 1964.

Mr. Feldman worked as a carpenter, building and remodeling many homes in several states, and had recently returned to Hugoton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

On Dec. 28, 1989, he married Doris Shank. She survives. Other survivors include two brothers, Wayne Feldman of Hugoton, and Robert Gardner of Hermiston, Ore.; a son, Chad Feldman of Ulysses; a daughter, Dannah Feldman Schatz of Ashland; a stepson, Kenneth Shank of Hugoton; seven grandsons; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Voyza Gardner; and his stepfather, Jack Gardner.
