Jose C. "Joey" Rodriguez Jr., 51, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Garden City.

He was born July 30, 1962, in Lubbock, Texas, to Jose Candelario Rodriguez Sr. and Victoria Castillo Rodriguez.

A Garden City resident for 45 years, Mr. Rodriguez had been a welder for Triple AAA Sheet Metal for 21 years.

Survivors include his children, Jose Candelario "C.J." Rodriguez III and Mariah Rodriguez, both of Garden City, and Adam Rodriguez of Fredrick, Okla.; his mother, of Garden City; his brothers and sisters, Manuel Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Senaida Rodriguez and Rabecca Lopez, all of Garden City; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

Prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Visitation hours are noon to 6 p.m. today and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be posted at Memorials to the Jose C. Rodriguez Jr. Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
