Mario L. Moreno, 51, of Amarillo, Texas, died Friday, May 17, 2013.

He was born May 8, 1962, in Garden City.

Survivors include a son, Michael, and a daughter, Jessica Moreno, of Emporia; three grandchildren; four brothers, John III and Christopher, both of Denver, Larry of Salina, and Reynaldo of Arvada, Colo.; and three sisters, Dolores of Garden City, Agnes Mercado of El Paso, Texas, and Baudelia Ybarra of Quanah, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan G. and Santos Martinez Moreno; five brothers, Alfredo and Braulio Perez, and John, Michael and Anthony Moreno; and a sister, Gloria Perez.

A service, with placement of his ashes, will be conducted in Denver.

Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Amarillo is in charge of arrangements.
