SCOTT CITY — Luis Rodriguez, 70, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home in Scott City.

SCOTT CITY — Luis Rodriguez, 70, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home in Scott City.

He was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Scott City, to Macedonio and Eulogia Ramirez Rodriguez.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mr. Rodriguez retired from Sunflower Electric in 1993 as a mechanic.

Survivors include two sons, Chris and Roque Rodriguez, both of Scott City; two daughters, Tina Garcia of Aurora, Colo., and Galena Brown of Denver; two brothers, Art Rodriguez of Canton, Okla., and Rey Rodriguez of Dodge City; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Rodriguez.

Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.

Visitation hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City. Condolences may be given at or In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Luis Rodriguez Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.
