Zeferino Holguin-Gonzalez, 62, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, in Garden City.

He was born Aug. 26, 1951, in San Francisco de Conchos, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Conrado Holguin and Perfecta Gonzalez Holguin.

Survivors include his siblings, Gloria Holguin-Gonzalez and husband Antonio of Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Luis Roberto Holguin-Gonzalez and wife Angela of Garden City, Santos Holguin-Gonzalez and husband Andrew of Los Angeles, Maria Lydia Holguin-Gonzalez and husband Marcos of Rancho Molina, Chihuahua, Ramon Holguin-Gonzalez and wife Elodia of Leoti, Francisco Holguin-Gonzalez and wife Adela of Rancho Molina, Maria Teresa Holguin-Gonzalez and husband Jerry of Alabama, Manuel Holguin-Gonzalez and wife Cristina of Leoti, and Javier Holguin-Gonzalez and wife Elsa of Rancho Molina; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Evangelina and Berta; a brother, Natalio; and his grandparents.

Funeral will take place in Camargo, Chihuahua, at a later date.

Visitation hours are noon to 4 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com. Memorials to the Zeferino Holguin-Gonzalez Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
