Maxine Saiz, 84, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

Maxine Saiz, 84, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

She was born Jan. 16, 1929, in Welch, Okla., to David Russell and Naomi Cecile VanDolah Hankins. She graduated from Holcomb High School.

On June 28, 1948, she married Melvin Lee Moore in Oklahoma. He died Jan. 21, 1967. On Oct. 3, 1969, she married Hewie Potts in Garden City. He died Aug. 19, 1988. She married Izzy Saiz on March 15, 1994, in Garden City. He died Feb. 28, 1997. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a stepdaughter, Leona Rippey; and a brother, Gene Hankins.

Mrs. Saiz was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Dwayne and Vicky Moore of Wichita, and Keith and Connie Moore of Wichita; three daughters, Patricia and Dan Hahn of Garden City, Donna and Ralph Perales of Garden City, and Joyce and Larry Wigner of Liberal; a stepson, Zoy and Mary Moore of Tuttle, Okla.; four sisters, Peggy Flynn, Marjorie Smith, Shirley Talbert, and Sue and Jay Near, all of Garden City; a brother, Joe Hankins of Holcomb; 18 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Church Of The Brethren, Garden City. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Visitation hours are 5 to 8 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City.
