John "Dubber" Yount, 77, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

John "Dubber" Yount, 77, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

He was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Sublette, to Roy R. and Minnie L. Haury Yount. He graduated from Garden City High School in 1954.

Mr. Yount was self-employed, owning a pet store and CB Radio Shop. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

On June 14, 1989, he married Irmtraud "Trudy" Muller in Garden City. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Stotler of Laurel, Md., and Nicole Mueller of Topeka; four sisters, Arlene Smith of Garden City, Joyce Wolking of Holcomb, Royann Green of Scott City, and Sarah Nichols of Topeka; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Yount; and a sister, Lorena Smith.

There will be no services held at this time.

Condolences may be given at Memorials to the John Yount Memorial Fund may be sent in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
