JOHNSON — Ruby Sara Tuggle, 97, of Johnson and formerly of Manter, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Memorial Living Center.

JOHNSON — Ruby Sara Tuggle, 97, of Johnson and formerly of Manter, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Memorial Living Center.

She was born April 11, 1916, in Johnson, to Elam and Helena Hilty. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1934.

Mrs. Tuggle had worked at Collingwood Grain Co.

On May 12, 1945, she married Milas Williams Tuggle in Syracuse. He died in 1995. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Karl Hilty; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.

Survivors include her children, John Allan of Corpus Christi, Texas, Thomas Martin of Green Valley, Ariz., and Donna Lee Stanton of Johnson; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Manter. Burial will follow at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson.

Visitation hours are 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church in Manter, in care of the funeral home, Box 715, Johnson, KS 67855.
