SCOTT CITY — Richard Dean Huck, 64, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Scott City.

SCOTT CITY — Richard Dean Huck, 64, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Scott City.

He was born Aug. 23, 1949, in Scott City, to Delmar and Wanda Oller Huck. He graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mr. Huck was co-owner and operator of Plain Jan's in Scott City.

On July 29, 1972, he married Jan Alderman in Lyons. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Erin Killough of Kansas City, Kan., Ali Cline of Scott City, and Aubrey Steinbrink of Grapevine, Texas; two brothers, Randy and David Huck, both of Scott City; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gwen Modlin.

A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Scott City.
