LEOTI — Juanita F. Brown, 93, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in Leoti.

LEOTI — Juanita F. Brown, 93, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in Leoti.

She was born July 3, 1921, in Selkirk, to Jacob A. and Mertie Belle Vincent Reimer. She earned a master's degree in education from McPherson College.

Mrs. Brown taught special education in Lincoln, McPherson, Manhattan and Wellington. After her retirement in 1993, she returned to Wichita County.

On Dec. 12, 1944, she married Elvin Brown in Waurika, Okla. He survives. Other survivors include two children, Teresa Resche and Allen Brown, both of Willmington, Del.; and a brother, Wayne Reimer of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at West Bethany Free Methodist Church in northwest rural Wichita County. Burial will be in West Bethany Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti. Condolences may be sent at www.priceandsons.com. Memorials are suggested to West Bethany Free Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
