JOHNSON — Benito L. Ybarra, 88, of Johnson, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson.

JOHNSON — Benito L. Ybarra, 88, of Johnson, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson.

He was born June 30, 1925, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Antonio and Juanita Leal Ybarra.

A resident of Johnson since 1966, Mr. Ybarra was a farm hand.

In August 1972, he married Cesaria G. Gonzalez in Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Cesaria Ybarra of Emporia; four sons, Bennie Ybarra of Johnson, Jessie Ybarra of Pratt, Ramon Ybarra of Manter, and Tony Ybarra of Emporia; a daughter, Maggie Boldridge of Emporia; two sisters, Antonia and Martha, both of Texas; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson.

Arrangements are being handled by Garnand Funeral Home, Johnson.
