LEOTI — Marlene Marie Riley, 81, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti.

She was born Oct. 11, 1931, north of Marienthal, to Hallie Everett and Clara Belle Smith Wilson. She was a 1949 graduate of Wichita County High School.

A resident of Leoti since 2012, Mrs. Riley was a homemaker and Fuller Brush salesperson.

On Oct. 12, 1949, she married Frank F. Riley in Scott City. He died Sept. 6, 2010, in Wichita. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include three children, Frank W. "Bill" Riley and Jack Riley, both of Leoti, and Linda M. Mitchell of Wichita; eight siblings, Marvin Wilson of Fruita, Colo., Alice Allen of Leon, Vona Ross of Springfield, Mo., Mildred Burch and Melvin Wilson, both of Marienthal, Lois Keller of Ellis, and Don Wilson and Marilyn Maley, both of Phillipsburg; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Scott City. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery.

Visitation hours are noon to 8 p.m. today at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti. Condolences may be sent at www.priceandsons.com. Memorials are suggested to the Wichita County Amusement Association or Wichita County Historical Society, both in care of the funeral home.
