Joseph Vic "Joe" Mata Guerrero, 51, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

Joseph Vic "Joe" Mata Guerrero, 51, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

He was born Jan. 25, 1963, in Garden City, to Jackie Mata and Elvira Guerrero Mata.

Mr. Guerrero had been a lifetime resident of Garden City until moving to Wichita in 2009.

Survivors include two brothers, Anthony Jalomo and Robert Jalomo, both of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Virginia and husband John Walker of Fort Worth, Sandra and husband Charles Graves of Azle, Texas, and Tommie and husband Mike Graves of Azle; his stepfather, Gene Jalomo of Fort Worth; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. The whereabouts of his father, Jackie, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph "Joe" Mata, are unknown. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Jose and Delfina Guerrero; and his mother, Elvira G. Jalomo.

Cremation has taken place, with burial planned in Fort Worth. Memorial services for the family and friends are planned at a later date.
