SATANTA — Lina Bell "Pauline" Schroeder, 92, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Muskogee Hospital in Muskogee, Okla.

She was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Balko, Okla., to John Henry and Mary Altha Guest Tunder.

Mrs. Schroeder had been a long-time resident of Satanta before moving to her daughter's home in Checotah, Okla., in 2008 due to health reasons. A homemaker, she had worked in the kitchen at various cafes.

On May 10, 1941, she married Carl Lee Schroeder in Enid, Okla. He preceded her in death as did her parents; an infant son, John; and a brother, Henry "Jack" Tunder.

Survivors include a daughter, Altha Underwood of Checotah; a son, Roy Schroeder of Summerville, S.C.; two brothers, John Tunder of Buffalo, Okla., and Roger Tunder of Tuttle, Okla.; two grandsons; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta.

Visitation hours are noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com. Memorials are suggested to Satanta Happy Agers, in care of the funeral home.
