Larry Gee

ULYSSES — Larry L. Gee, 72, of Ulysses, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

He was born Jan. 15, 1941, in Syracuse, to William Leonard and Betty Deyoe Gee.

A lifetime resident of Grant County, Mr. Gee was co-owner of D&G Backhoe Service, owner of L&R Fertilizer, was a self-employed potato farmer and worked for Barney Rogers Dirt Contractor.

On Dec. 27, 1958, he married Gretchen Herbel in Ulysses. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Betty Floyd of Ulysses; two daughters, Tammy Oliver and Stacey Gee, both of Ulysses; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Garry Gee.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses. Inurnment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no public visitation. Memorials to the Morton County Special Care Unit in Elkhart may be sent in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant, Ulysses, KS 67880.
