Bernard Kerbaugh

Bernard "Bernie" Kerbaugh, 52, a former Garden City resident, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at his home in Elk City, Okla.

He was born Nov. 2, 1960, in WaKeeney, to Rex Orrin and Delores Ann Geist Kerbaugh.

Mr. Kerbaugh was an oil field production foreman.

On May 9, 1981, he married Bonnie Garrison in Hill City. She survives. Other survivors include his parents, of Hill City; a son, Jacob Kerbaugh of Stillwater, Okla.; a daughter, Robyn M. Kerbaugh of Elk City; two brothers, Kenneth J. Kerbaugh of Tonganoxie, and James Kerbaugh of Hill City; three sisters, Kathy VanPelt of Salina, Karen Pfeifer of Springfield, Va., and Tracey Herman of WaKeeney; and his grandmother, Anna Geist of WaKeeney. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hill City. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City.

Visitation hours from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Stinemetz Funeral Home in Hill City, with a vigil service at 7 tonight. Memorials are suggested to Masses or Toys for Tots, in care of the funeral home, 522 N. Pomeroy, Hill City, KS 67642.
