G.C. woman injured in rollover crash

A Garden City woman was taken to St. Catherine Hospital after being injured in a rollover accident Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred at 1:18 p.m., five miles west of the junction of U.S. Highway 50 and U.S. Highway 83.

The Kansas Highway Patrol crash log said a 2002 Jeep, driven by Maria Amalia Rico De Farfan, 51, was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 50. For an unknown reason, the crash log said, De Farfan veered into the westbound lane. She then overcorrected and went into the center median. The vehicle rolled three times, coming to rest on its wheels in the median, the log said. St. Catherine Hospital would not provide De Farfan's condition.
