G.C. man injured in rollover accident

Published 3/1/2013 in Local News

A Garden City man was injured in a rollover accident near Great Bend on Wednesday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Daniel Lerma, 48, Garden City, was passing another vehicle. Lerma lost control and the Pontiac went into the south ditch, overturning once, the report said.

The accident occurred at 6:57 a.m. Wednesday on Kansas Highway 96 one mile northwest of the Great Bend city limits.

The report said Lerma was taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital, but a house supervisor had no record of him being there. The report said Lerma was wearing a seatbelt and does not identify the driver of the other car.
