Smoky Hills Public Television is accepting entries for its 2019 SHPTV PBS Kids Writers Contest.

SHPTV is looking for stories written and illustrated by kids in grades K-3 throughout its viewing area in western and central Kansas. The stories will be judged, and winners will receive a visit at their school or home from a representative from SHPTV where they will be awarded a trophy and prizes.

The contest is currently underway, and entries can be submitted to SHPTV through March 29. The winners will be selected and awarded in May. The rules and entry forms are available at www.shptv.org.
