The final high school basketball games of 2018 involving Saline County schools will take place tonight at the Sacred Heart gym, when rivals Southeast of Saline and Sacred Heart meet in a North Central Activities Association doubleheader.

The varsity girls game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start, with the varsity boys to follow.

The girls contest matches two teams that have played well in December. The Sacred Heart girls are 4-2 overall, 1-1 in the North Central Activities Association and have already equalled their total number of victories from last season.

The Southeast of Saline girls are unbeaten (4-0, 1-0) and with a victory tonight, would also equal their win total from a year ago.

On the boys side, Sacred Heart has won four consecutive games after back-to-back losses to open the season. The Knights are now 4-2, 2-0 league. Southeast enters the game still looking for its first win this season, falling to 0-4, 0-1 after a Tuesday loss at Hillsboro.

Today's games will be the first at home for both Sacred Heart teams since the season opener. The Knights have played five consecutive games on the road.
