Elks Thanksgiving dinner
What: The Garden City Elks Lodge will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner as a thank-you to the community.
When: 1 p.m. Thursday
Where: Elks Lodge, 905 E. Kansas Plaza
Cost: All veterans and first responders, plus one guest, can eat free of charge. All others will be asked to make an $8 donation. The RSVP deadline has passed, for those interested in attending.
Garden City Arts open house
What: Stop by Garden City Arts on Small Business Saturday to find unique gifts from local artists. Several Garden City Arts artists will have tables set up with an extended selections of their art work.

Bad Boys of Wrestling
What: The Bad Boys of Wrestling is an independent wrestling organization that travels the country and puts on family-friendly events for all. The event will include the famous Luchador Wrestlers from Mexico, top U.S. wrestlers and both men's and women's matches.
When: 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday
Where: Finney County Fairgrounds, 209 Lake, Garden City

Tree lighting ceremony
What: Come to downtown Garden City to see the Christmas lights get turned on in Stevens Park, get your picture with Santa, Mrs. Claus and Frozen’s Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, and listen to the Garden City High School choir sing Christmas carols. The first 100 kids will receive a free Magic Bell to assist with the lighting ceremony. There will be hot cocoa, cookies and cider for purchase, courtesy of the Finney County Humane Society.
When: Tree lighting, 6 p.m. Saturday; photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, from 5 to 7 p.m.
