TRIBUNE — Wanda Lorraine (Houston) Smith, 87, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at the Greeley County Long Term Care in Tribune.

She was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Raymond to William “Bill” and Blanche Viola Jeffrey Houston.

She was a resident of Tribune, moving there in 1947 and graduating from high school there.

She married Dearld Milton Smith on July 22, 1949, in Tribune.

She began her career with Greeley County schools in 1960 as school secretary, then later served as clerk of the board of education, retiring in 1992.

Survivors include a son, Randall of Tribune; a daughter, Marla Graham of Englewood, Colo.; three siblings, Lawrence Houston and Cecile Shepherd, both of Tribune, and Roger Houston of Lakewood, Colo.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a daughter, Marilyn Klein.

A celebration of life will be held 10:30 a.m. Nov. 29 at the Presbyterian Church in Tribune. A private inurnment will be held at Greeley County Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
